The Music Ministries focus on Christ-centered music, fellowship, friendship and most importantly the sharing of the gospel of Christ through music in worship and special events. It is our hope that everyone who participates in the music ministries program is challenged to grow in Christ and to experience God's unconditional love through the love of music that we all share.
Whether you are a professional musician or just a music lover, we have a place for you! Please take a moment to review the programs we offer and prayerfully consider what God would have you do with the musical gift He has given you.
Opportunities to Serve
Chancel Choir
In addition to singing in the sanctuary worship services, the Chancel Choir enjoys performing for special events. The choir enjoys fellowship activities and is open to anyone (high school+) who just likes to make music. Rehearsal Time: 7:00 p.m. Wednesdays. All rehearsals take place in the South WIng S-2. The choir sings mid-August through the end of June. Childcare is available.
Handbells
FUMC has two handbell choirs with varing abilities that practice and ring throughout the school year, from mid-August through the beginning of June. We also ring for nursing homes and special events. While making music, we enjoy sharing fellowship and provide support for one another. Rehearsals are on Tuesday at 5:15 (Jubilee Ringers) & Wednesday at 5:15 (Celebration RIngers.) S-1
LifeLine Praise Band
The Lifeline Praise Team was organized in 2005 for the purpose of providing contemporary music worship leadership in the newly constructed West Wing. They led the inaugural worship service in the West Wing that Easter Sunday and the service continues to grow in attendance and attracts new people to the church.
The Praise Team, led by Steve Carroll, is made up of volunteer musicians and vocalists that call FUMC their church home and serve the church through their many talents. These adults use a TEAM concept: T: technique, E: energy, A: accountability and M: ministry. They practice every Thursday from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. and work as needed to learn new music and to prepare the music for Sunday worship.
E3 Praise Band*

For Just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. And since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let each exercise them accordingly..."
