E3 Student Ministry
Embrace, Experience, Empower
What are you thirsty for?
Thirsty for God?
Thristy for realness in a fake world?
Thristy for being together?
Thristy for a place to laugh... and to cry?
Thirsty for God's truth and grace?
Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, "If you are thristy, come to me!" John 7:37
Mission Opportunity
If you are serious about missions--You've Gotta Go!
This Summer's Inter-generational Mission Trip was June 20-26. Our destination is the "Boot Heel of Missouri" to the town of Caruthersville. The town sustained major tornado damage several years ago and is now finishing up the recovery process. We will weatherize homes of elderly residents and help beautify the area by planting trees, gardens and whatever else is needed. Lodging will be at Eastwood UMC, where we will have use of their kitchen to prepare our meals. Cost per person is approximately $165.00. We will travel by church vans or if you prefer to go by RV the KOA Campground is about 6 miles from town.
Caruthersville is located on the Mississippi River, 50 miles from Memphis and across the river from Jackson TN. If you would like to participate but can't work outside, we are looking for a volunteer for meal preparation. There will be a meeting for those interested on May 16, noon in Fellowship Hall. For more information, contact Milton or Ellen Schmidt, 787-5095 or milton.Schmidt@att.net, or visit with Randy Mathews, 786-5148, randym@groveumc.org
We're Going to Dayspring!

Please remember these campers in prayer: Ben Tate, Kelsey Bomar, Mandy Lovelady, Taylor Dodson, Taylor Tate, Brittani Hale, Amber Wilson, Linda Friend (nurse), Linda Henry (nurse), Steve Carroll and Randy Mathews.
