
Randall R. Hamill, Senior Pastor
Pastor Randy Hamill came to First United Methodist Church of Grove on June 11, 2000. A native of the Adair United Methodist Church (Muskogee District, OK Conference), he graduated from Adair High School in 1970, Oklahoma State University with Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Economics in 1974, and from Phillips Graduate Seminary with a Masters of Divinity, magna cum laude in 1994, receiving awards in preaching, biblical studies, and the UMC Church Award. He was ordained as Elder in the Oklahoma Annual Conference in 1996 and was also presented the Denman Award for Evangelism at the 2007 Oklahoma Annual Conference.After serving part time appointments at Strang and Bryan Chapel (Muskogee District) beginning in 1983, he began attending seminary classes in 1988. Randy and Debra then received the call to vocational ministry, serving two years as Director of Youth and Associate Pastor at Pryor FUMC, then moved their family of six from their farm to serve Locust Grove FUMC in 1995 for five fruitful years before being appointed to Grove.
Presently, Randy and Debra’s four daughters are grown, living in College Station, TX, Mt. Vernon, MO, Tahlequah, OK, and Grove, OK. They also have six beautiful grandchildren.
